LOUISVILLE, KY - October 6, 2009 -- Julie Howell has joined the staff of the Louisville Sports Commission as Director of Fund Development. Howell will focus on developing revenue streams to increase the Commission's ability to attract sporting events that enhance economic development in Louisville.

Aug. 28, 2009 (Tampa, FL) - This Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, Ironman will hold the third annual Ford Ironman Louisville Triathlon, one of more than 20 events in the Ironman global series. The race will take nearly 3,000 athletes along a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run on a course that will utilize a variety of Louisville's scenic areas, including Waterfront Park, Oldham and Henry Counties and the city of LaGrange. Athletes will end their journey with a finish line celebration at Fourth Street Live!.
