LOUISVILLE SPORTS COMMISSION LAUNCHES MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN

Sports enthusiasts given chance to gain insider information on Louisville sports

December 7, 2009 - (Louisville, KY) - The Louisville Sports Commission will kick off the holiday season with its inaugural "Sports Insiders" membership event on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at The Sports & Social Club in Fourth Street Live!

"Everyone who joins the Louisville Sports Commission Insiders will automatically hit the trifecta," said Karl Schmitt, Executive Director of the Louisville Sports Commission.   "Numerous opportunities to mix and mingle with people in our community who share a passion for sports; opportunities to get insider access to sports activities in our community; and chances to win tickets to local and national sporting events."

The Louisville Sports Commission is forecasting a slam dunk with the Sports Insiders membership program, with a goal of 400 members in its initial year.  For only $100 annually, membership into the Sports Insiders is sure to provide sports enthusiasts with a leg up on the competition.  Sports Commission Insiders will receive exclusive access to special sporting events, a subscription to the sports commission e-newsletter, a commemorative collector's pin, and much more.

In addition to behind the scenes information and access, Insiders will be given the opportunity to win Super Bowl tickets, seats at University of Louisville basketball games, and behind the scenes access to sporting events not available to the general public.

The holiday kick off party is free and open to the public, and will feature ticket giveaways to upcoming University of Louisville men's and women's home games, and to the University of Kentucky vs. Drexler game in Lexington.  Giveaways will be limited to those that sign up for membership on the night of the 14th.
