Greg Fante Recognized as a Sports Industry “Game Changer”
Louisville, Ky. – August 10, 2017 – Greg Fante, CSEE, vice president of sports development at the Louisville Sports Commission, was recognized as an industry leader in Connect Sports magazine’s “Game Changers” fall 2017 issue. Connect Sports is a national, B2B magazine that provides resources and ideas to professionals and planners in the sports tourism industry.
“It’s an honor for Greg – and for the Louisville Sports Commission – for Greg to be nationally recognized as a leader in sports event attraction,” said Louisville Sports Commission President & CEO Karl Schmitt. “This validates our organization’s efforts to attract and grow events that further our mission to enhance the economics, healthy lifestyles, and awareness of our community through sports.”
Fante was nominated by his sports event industry peers. Nominations were received from across the country, then reviewed and evaluated by the Connect Sports staff based on references, industry involvement, and other resources.

An annual feature in Connect Sports magazine, “Game Changers” honors leaders who have earned respect from industry professionals and media. These leaders will also be recognized at Connect Sports in New Orleans, Aug. 21-23, 2017.
