Louisville Sports Commission Announces Athletic Boosters Members

Newly Created Committee to Support Sports Commission Efforts

Louisville, KY – February 11, 2015 – The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) today announced the formation of its newly created Athletic Boosters Committee. The below committee members will work with the LSC’s staff and board of directors on sports-related activities.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome these individuals to the Louisville Sports Commission family,” said Karl Schmitt, executive director of the LSC.  “We’ve been looking for a way to engage more people in all the exciting sporting activities in which we’re involved; the Athletic Boosters is a great opportunity for these young professionals to make a difference and help advance the LSC mission.”

“These individuals will bring a diverse business background and innovative thinking to the Sports Commission as we work to fulfill our mission of creating a legacy of economic and social vitality through sports,” Schmitt continued.

The Boosters will be responsible for supporting two LSC fundraising and community outreach activities – the Golden Ticket raffle and Insiders Membership Campaign. Additionally, the Boosters will work in partnership with the LSC staff to identify, create and help manage additional activities that enhance the organization’s hosted and owned and operated events.
