The Paul Hornung Award

Campanaro and Grice Earn Week Eight Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll

Duo Accounts for Critical Scores as Teams Notch Important Conference Victories

Louisville, Ky. – October 21, 2013 – A duo from opposite ends of the country demonstrated versatility scoring and big-game prowess to earn Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll selection in week eight of the college football season. Michael Campanaro of Wake Forest threw for a touchdown and caught a TD pass as the Demon Deacons beat Maryland to move into third place in the ACC’s Atlantic Division. Arizona State’s Marion Grice scored three touchdowns, two rushing and one receiving, as the Sun Devils extended their lead in the Pac-12 South with a win over Washington.

The Paul Hornung Award, presented by Texas Roadhouse, is awarded annually to the most versatile player in major college football. The winner and his family will be honored January 28, 2014, at a banquet presented by KentuckyOne Health at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville.

Fans can participate in the selection process by voting online as often as once a day for their favorite player on the Paul Hornung Award Watch List at votepaulhornung.com. Fan voting, powered by Texas Roadhouse, makes up the 17th vote for the Hornung Award; a national selection committee comprised of 16 sports journalists and former NFL stars will select the winner in early December.
