The 16th Annual Louisville Sports Commission Cross Country Classic will be contested at E.P “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, KY, which is the site of five NAIA National Championships, two BIG EAST Conference Championships, five NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships, the 2010 NCAA DII National Championships, the 2012 NCAA Division I National Championships, the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championships and the 2015 NCAA Division I National Championships.
Centered around the historic Ohio River, Louisville is one of the most vibrant IRONMAN venues on the circuit. Since it was first held in Louisville, Kentucky in 2007, this race quickly became a signature event for our charm-filled city.
The Urban Bourbon Half Marathon starts and finishes in downtown Louisville in front of the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. The race includes the Urban Bourbon Bash, a post-race party on the Belvedere that will offer a high-end bourbon tasting, beer, pizza and music by the Louisville Crashers.
