The USA BMX Derby City Nationals has been held in Louisville since the 1980s. Competitors in this year’s event will include Olympic athletes, professional BMX racers from all over the world and the U.S.’s fastest amateur riders.
The 17th Annual Louisville Sports Commission Cross Country Classic will be contested at E.P “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, KY, which is the site of five NAIA National Championships, two BIG EAST Conference Championships, five NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships, the 2010 NCAA DII National Championships, the 2012 NCAA Division I National Championships, the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championships, the 2015 NCAA Division I National Championships, 2016 NCAA Division III National Championships, 2017 NCAA Division I National Championships and the 2017 ACC Cross Country Championships.
Centered around the historic Ohio River, Louisville is one of the most vibrant IRONMAN venues on the circuit. Since it was first held in Louisville, Kentucky in 2007, this race quickly became a signature event for our charm-filled city.
The Urban Bourbon Half Marathon is an experiential destination event that starts and finishes in downtown Louisville and offers a route that showcases one of Louisville’s most scenic parks. The race includes the Urban Bourbon Bash, a post-race party includes a high-end bourbon tasting, beer, pizza and music by the Louisville Crashers.
