Norton Sports Health 4-Miler Moves to Historic Iroquois Park
This year’s fall race runs through Jack O’Lantern Spectacular
Louisville, Ky. – June 21, 2023 – The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) will host the family-friendly Norton Sports Health 4-Miler walk/run at Iroquois Park on Mon., Oct. 2, 2023, on a course that winds through Jack O’Lantern Spectacular.
The event will start at 6:40 p.m. in Iroquois Park on the lower loop near the intersection of Iroquois Park Road and Rundell Road. The 4-miler will be professionally chip-timed, and all participants will receive a commemorative Norton Sports Health 4-Miler long-sleeve race shirt and a custom finishers medal.
Thanks to a partnership between the Parks Alliance of Louisville and the LSC, the 4-miler course will take race participants through Jack O’Lantern Spectacular trail to the finish line. Runners and walkers will have an opportunity to see more than 5,000 artistically carved illuminated pumpkins before the event opens to the public. Race participants will also receive an admission discount to the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular good for a future visit.
“The Norton Sports Health 4-Miler Spooktacular is our second of three fall races and we are excited to have it back again in 2023 – with a new distance and location,” said Louisville Sports Commission President & CEO Greg Fante. “We believe the four-mile distance and opportunity to a get a preview of the pumpkin trail will make the race even more desirable to the local community. I have been to the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular in previous years and can attest to what an unforgettable experience it is. Our runners and walkers will love this addition to the race.”

Participants can register online until Sept. 30. Early bird registration is $30 and will increase to $35 on July 1.
