Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Partnership Engagement will support the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) in maintaining, growing and creating revenue streams for the Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) through philanthropic gifts, event sponsorships, membership campaigns, special events, raffles and various other methods including implementing activation and fulfillment programs. Assist with connecting revenue initiatives with marketing, public relations, CRM and operations to create ideal participant and client experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

REVENUE DEVELOPMENT

  • Support CRO by identifying prospect and inventory opportunities, including the compilation of meaningful sponsor, market and industry data.
  • Analyze historical and current data to enhance and develop sponsor / partnership opportunities that maximize revenue.
  • Assist with recruitment of local companies and businesses to participate in the LSC owned and operated Louisville Corporate Games; manage team captain engagement.
  • Assist with table and ticket sales for LSC owned and operated events.

 SPONSORSHIP

  • Identify available inventory; work with CRO and Director of Event Operations to assign value.
  • Identify potential sponsors and opportunities for engagement.
  • Work with CRO to identify and solicit budget-relieving in-kind sponsorship (where applicable).

 CORPORATE

  • Manage LSC social media accounts (Facebook, X, Instagram) for LSC corporate and Urban Bourbon Half Marathon
  • Manage and oversee Golden Ticket raffle sales efforts.

 FOUNDATION AND GOVERNMENT GRANTS

  • Assist CRO in identifying grant opportunities for which LSC programs and events qualify.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of grant applications based on guidelines and deadlines.
  • Complete all post-event, paperwork and documentation.

 Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Four years’ relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to research, and help solicit and secure funding from individuals, corporations and foundations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Social media engagement.
  • Quick thinker and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work late hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask; must be able to meet deadlines.
  • Excel at operating in a fast-paced environment.
