Louisville, Ky. – April 29, 2025 – John Kulp won the Louisville Sports Commission’s 15th annual Golden Ticket raffle. Shannon Cogan, WAVE News Sunrise anchor, drew Kulp’s ticket this morning from the backside of Churchill Downs.
Kulp purchased one of 350 available raffle tickets for $100 to win the Golden Ticket grand prize; he will receive two tickets to each of the following sporting events:
- 2025 Kentucky Oaks
- 2025 Kentucky Derby
- 2025 Louisville Bats home games
- 2025 Louisville City FC home games
- 2025 University of Louisville regular season football and basketball home games
- 2025 University of Louisville women’s regular season basketball home games
- 2026 Paul Hornung Award Ceremony
“John is in for an amazing year attending all these phenomenal events,” said Greg Fante, president and CEO of the Louisville Sports Commission. “With the wide variety of sports represented in the Golden Ticket raffle, he has definitely won the ultimate sports package.”
The raffle was conducted by the Louisville Sports Commission. The Louisville Sports Commission is a non-profit and will use 100 percent of the proceeds from ticket purchases to fund the Sports Commission’s youth sports initiatives.
