Louisville, Ky. – October 1, 2018 – Four offensive play-makers and one stalwart defender, all of whom double as return specialists, combined for nine touchdowns and more than 700 yards in total offense to earn Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll this week. The players are: Ugochukwu Amadi (Oregon, DB/RS), Greg Dortch (Wake Forest, WR/RS), Jabir Doughtry-Frye (Troy, RB/RS), KJ Hamler (Penn State, WR/RS), and John Hightower (Boise State, WR/RS), representing the Pac-12, Sun Belt, ACC, Big Ten and Mountain West, respectively.

Four Wide Receivers/Returners, One Running Back/LB/Cover Man Lead Teams to Wins

Louisville, Ky., – September 24, 2018 – Four wide receivers who double as return specialists and one three-way player are named to the Paul Hornung Honor Roll for week four of the college football season. Temple running back Ryquell Armstead, who also played defense and special teams, is joined on the list by wide receivers Mecole Hardman (Georgia), Rondale Moore (Purdue), Sean Riley (Syracuse) and Marcus Simms, Jr. (WVU).

Sun Belt, C-USA, Mountain West are Represented in Week Three

Louisville, Ky., – September 17, 2018 – Junior WR/KR Maurice Alexander (FIU), freshman DB/KR Marcus Hayes (New Mexico), junior RB/KR Tra Minter (South Alabama), and junior RB/KR Juwan Washington (San Diego State) earned the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll by combining for six touchdowns four different ways and helping lead their respective teams to wins in week three of the college football season.

WEEK 2: Players from Big Ten, Big 12 and AAC Earn Paul Hornung Award Honors

A Senior and Two Freshmen All-Purpose Players Make Honor Roll In Week Two

Louisville, Ky., – September 10, 2018 – Freshman wide receiver/kick returners Terrence Horne from USF and KJ Hamler from Penn State join senior all-purpose back KaVontae Turner from TCU on the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for week two of the college football season.

The Paul Hornung Award, now in its ninth season, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission and football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung. The winner and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award dinner presented by Jewish Hospital Sports Medicine, to be held at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville in March 2019. This will be The Paul Hornung Award’s third year as an associate member of the National College Football Awards Association.
