Winners Announced for Louisville Pure Tap® 5K

Louisville, Ky. – Sept. 10, 2022 – With nearly 500 registered participants, the annual Louisville Pure Tap® 5K went off this morning under partly cloudy conditions at race start. Race participants started and finished at the Louisville Water Tower Park, home of Louisville’s award-winning drinking water, and followed a course that ran east and west on River Road.

Logan Barrett of Jeffersonville, Ind., won the men’s division in a time of 14:58.94, ahead of second-place finisher Jacob Law of Louisville, Ky., who clocked a time of 15:31.41. Angela Musk of Louisville, Ky. won the women’s division in 18:16.94, beating Sarah Drabot of Louisville, Ky., who finished in 18:23.99.

Louisville Pure Tap® 5K Leads Off the Series on Sept. 10

Louisville, Ky. – Aug. 10, 2022 – Registration is open for the Louisville Sports Commission’s (LSC) three popular fall running races, starting with the Louisville Pure Tap® 5K on Sept. 10, the Norton Sports Health 8K on Oct. 1 and the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon on Oct. 8. The three races provide unique courses and quality experiences for runners and walkers, while promoting active lifestyles for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Long-time Staff Member Julie Howell Promoted to Sports Commission’s Chief Revenue Officer

Louisville, Ky. – July 21, 2022 – Nick Kopka and MiKayla Morton have joined the Louisville Sports Commission’s (LSC) staff, and long-time LSC vice president Julie Howell has been promoted to chief revenue officer. Kopka takes over as director of event operations and Morton as manager of events and programs.

Selections Represent Basketball, Football and Administration; Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Title IX

Louisville, Ky. – May 19, 2022 – Four individuals with strong Kentucky connections who have made outstanding contributions to sports have been selected for the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame (KSHOF) Class of 2022.

The announcement was made today at a press briefing at Freedom Hall by the Louisville Sports Commission, owners and operators of the KSHOF.
