Louisville, Ky. – Sept. 7, 2024 – With more than 750 registered participants, the sold-out Louisville Pure Tap® 5K went off this morning under cool, sunny conditions at race start. Race participants started and finished at Louisville Water Tower, home of Louisville’s award-winning drinking water, and followed a course that ran east and west on River Road.
David Greishaber of Louisville, Ky., won the men’s division in a time of 15:48, ahead of second-place finisher Ali-Faraji Tajrish of Louisville, Ky., who clocked a time of 16.10. Maria Galvin of Louisville, Ky., won the women’s division in 18:39, beating Tavi Wallace of Louisville, Ky., who finished in 19:15. Brandon Finch of Brandenburg, Ky., won the non-binary division in 20:24.

Race participants were invited to bring their dogs to join them. Proceeds from all dog registrations were donated to Friends of Metro Animal Services.
